Dimensions and Model Selection
The Type V series includes three zinc anodes with different body dimensions and mounting hole spacings. Body dimensions are specified as length × width × height.
- V 15C (5952): 150 × 60 × 25 mm body with 80 mm mounting hole spacing.
- V 25C (5954): 250 × 65 × 38 mm body with 140 mm mounting hole spacing.
- V 35C (5956): 250 × 70 × 38 mm body with 200 mm mounting hole spacing.
Models V 25C and V 35C have the same body length and height but differ in width and mounting hole spacing. These dimensions should be checked when selecting a replacement anode.
Mounting and Corrosion Protection
The rectangular anode features two mounting holes for installation on the boat’s hull or rudder. When selecting a replacement, the overall body dimensions and centre-to-centre mounting hole distance should be matched to the required installation dimensions.
The zinc anode acts as a sacrificial component, corroding preferentially to help protect other metal parts of the vessel from corrosion damage.
The appropriate anode material depends on the water environment in which the vessel operates:
